I love Reese’s peanut butter cups. Though in a pinch I’ve been to scrounge for chocolate chips in my baking cupboard just like Baylee. I also love to freeze my 3 musketeer bars so you don’t get as messy taking off the chocolaty coating. 🙂 oh what we women do for chocolate!

  2. AubreyB says:

So my favorite growing up used to be Butterfingers. But then when I was pregnant with my 2 kids, any time I ate anything with sugar in it, I’d feel super sick and throw up. Gross, I know. And way too hard to not eat sugar for 9 months, so I was always trying to find substitutes for my sugar craving. And I finally found out that if I ate super dark chocolate, since the sugar content was so low, I wouldn’t get sick. Like 70% Cocoa or above. 90% was too bitter, but 60% was too sugary. So now even thought I’m not pregnant, I still love that super dark chocolate. 🙂

  3. Trina Borrowman says:

I must admit, I am one of those really weird people that sugar and dairy doesn’t sit well in my stomach, but I have been known to snack on a Snickers bar… but my real treats are slurpees… mmmm, so worth the stomach ache.

  4. Kristie says:

The way to eat a Butterfinger–you HAVE to eat the chocolate outside first–yummy–then the orange center goodness!! 😉

  5. Brooke says:

I LOVE Twix. I have to eat the caramel first, then eat the chocolate off, then eat the shortbread cookie. Maybe that makes it last longer? Love to do that with reeses pb cups too. Eat all the chocolate off, then eat the peanut butter center 🙂

  6. April Orchard says:

Shoot I just devour my candy bars! Ok, so as I’m devouring my chocolate I have to eat it even, you know bite one side then the other so it’s even! Must be my OCD! Oh and I can’t eat the red or brown m&ms, or the red and purple skittles or the red and pink starburst. I must have a weird thing with red!LOL! Anyway that’s my crazy candy eating!

  7. Marybeth K says:

Oh my… Well, I do the same thing with 3 Musketeers and also Whoppers(which sometimes makes my mouth sore :))! Reeses Peanut Butter Cups… I eat the side chocolate first all the way around and then I pop the center peanut butter yumminess into my mouth to mush around with my tongue, savoring every bit before I give up and chew and swallow! Haha!
Reeses Pieces, I prefer a melted center(just leave them on the dash in the car and then eat, or sit on the bag while on the couch) can’t watch ET without wanting those. I like Cadbury Mini Eggs the same way as the Reeses Pieces. Oh and a Big Hunk… I have to bend those to get out the peanuts so that I can just suck on and enjoy the nougat. Yeah, I’m weird! Lol! Thanks for the chance to win!! (And giving me a candy craving…maybe we’ll have to have a Willy Wonka movie night, complete with several candy selections!)

  8. Janet O. says:

What is my favorite candy bar? How do I eat it? Is that a trick question. My favorite is Milky Way, Almond Joy, Clark bars, PayDay, Hundred Grand, Peanut M&Ms, plain M&M (not a huge fan of peanut butter) Almond M&Ms, Babe Ruth…Do you see my problem. Chocolate and caramel go so well together. Even the few candy bars without chocolate are craved at various times. And how I eat them depends on the candy as well. Sorry I just can’t choose a favorite. It’s like the students I teach some days one is your favorite but others days the other. Every child is the favorite at one point in time.

  9. Jenny says:

I love raisinets! My Pawpaw was diabetic and raisinets were one of the few candies he could have (most likely one of the only ones my grandmother would allow him to sneak and eat!) When I was a toddler he was my babysitter and he would feed me raisinets. He would put some in my left hand, and some in my right hand. I would then ask for more, and he would respond “Eat what’s in your hand first”. I would then shove the ones in my right hand in my mouth and ask for more. He would refill my right hand with more. This same process would happen with my left hand as well, until the bag was completely gone. At this point I would have a whole bag’s worth of raisinets shoved in my mouth so I looked like a chipmunk with my cheeks filled with rasinets. I would then try to chew. Needless to say by the end of the whole process I was a mess and my Pawpaw would be laughing hysterically. Ever since then rasinets have been my favorite candy.

  10. Erika B. says:

Hands down the best candy is Junior Mints but they have to sit in the freezer for like 30 minutes! So delicious!

  11. Carol says:

Junior Mints for me – but they must be cold! Remember the Seinfeld where Jerry and Kramer are observing an operation and Kramer drops from the viewing gallery into the open stomach the junior mint he’s trying to share with Jerry?
    “Who’s gonna turn down a Junior Mint? It’s chocolate, it’s peppermint — it’s delicious!” – Kramer
“I have no medical evidence to back me up, but something happened during the operation that staved off that infection. Something beyond science. Something perhaps from above…”
    “Those can be very refreshing.”
    – The doctor and Kramer

  12. Teya Peck says:

OH my heck! I’m so glad others have candy eating rituals too. YESSSS!!!!!! I’m not alone. Okay, when I eat a snickers candy bar I meticulously eat off a chocolate end. Then I eat the chocolate down to certain point on the sides usually down to where my fingers are. Then I carefully eat the nugget bottom part exposed, down to my fingers. Then with the last part caramel nuts and chocolate top, I complete the ritual by very slowly enjoying that dreamy part. Then I start over when I move my fingers down.
I have another ritual with peanut m&m’s or just m&M’s and other small candy morsels. I divide them into there color groups count them and eat the ones that are uneven. WHen that is done and they are all in the same even groups I start with the color I least like and work my why up to my most favorite color or colors and savor to my greatest delight.
    LOVE IT!
Every year for my anniversary, except this year, my husband and I go to olive garden! That’s awesome! I’ve been on a soup diet for 8 months from a surgery and I was determined to go to red lobster because It was where we were. WHat a fun blog, I LOVED IT!

  13. Amy says:

OK…so when I could eat chocolate & candy, I did the same as Brooke with a twix. But let’s be honest…when I did eat it…I ate anything. I would break an M&M in half, eat all the chocolate, then eat the peanut. Now I eat Haagen Dazs caramel cone ice cream.

I had a friend in Middle School who had a home lunch everyday & everyday she had a Twinkie. She would break the twinkie in half, eat all the cream & then eat the rest of the twinkie. At the time it was amazing to watch!!

  14. Amy says:

If you live on the west coast then you know how wonderful Sees candy is. I eat the butterscotch squares, chocolate first and then the brown sugar goodness that is inside. And I eat 1/2 lb at once (which is why I only allow myself to eat this delectable treat on my birthday and Christmas).

  15. Alysha J says:

My all time favorite candy is Reese’s which I eat from the inside out, not the baby Reese’s, I only like the big ones, I slowly push the middle of the Reese’s down until it almost falls down then I eat that, only then will I eat the outside edge. It’s a lot harder than it sounds. If the Reese’s breaks I just eat both sides of the middle then the edge. Reading about all the candy is making me want some. 🙂

  16. Linda Gibbs says:

I see nothing wrong with dumping my m&m’s out on a clean table or a napkin and lining them up by colors. Then starting a the end and eating them until they are even numbers. And then eat one color at at time, and go down the line. Doesn’t everyone do this? And I cannot just BITE into a Hershey bar. I have to break it and eat it in it’s rectangles. Not sure but I may, MAY be a tad OCD…. 🙂

  17. Marie says:

I love the new Kit-Kat minis! So yummy! I think they are better than the regular kit-kats. 🙂 If you haven’t tried them yet, go buy a bag! You won’t regret it!

  18. Chelsea B. says:

Hershey’s milk chocolate and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups– I can eat the HECK out of those and still crave more! It’s ridiculous! But oh so delicious *Wink*

  19. Tara Springer says:

I love snickers, but in helping to plan food for my nephew’s wedding in April, I learned that both butterfingers and baby ruths are gluten-free. The baby ruths made a fabulous candy bar popcorn.

  20. Kayla P says:

My favorite candy is Sour Straws or Sour Patch Kids. When I was pregnant with my daughter I craved Sour Straws! The gas station I frequented was owned by an old man who had known my family and I for years (it was a mom and pop type place). I remember walking up to him while he was ordering new items and buying the last Sour Straws pack he had. He looked at me, said “Don’t worry baby, I’ll take care of it” and as I left I watched him change his order sheet to include my Sour Straws…. He is now a department head in our city government and doesn’t own his gas station anymore, but that will be the memory I keep of him for the rest of my life! (BTW his department is one of the only ones in our area that is on the ball all the time 🙂 Guess he knows how its done! )

  21. Michelle M says:

Hmm… Currently, my favorite snacky chocolate are the m&m pretzels. you know, the small round pretzels surrounded by chocolate and a crunchy shell? PERFECT for snacking on! (problem is, a little too perfect, I can eat WAY too many in one sitting)

  22. Carol L says:

I absolutely love three musketeers and Rollos. Great giveaway. Thanks for the chance.
    Carol L

  23. Anna W. says:

Since I’ve been pregnant, I cannot get enough Whoppers!!! And my loving, ever enabling husband, just continues to buy them for me. Darn! Tee Hee! I only put one in my mouth at a time and meticulously suck off the chocolate before letting my mouth dissolve the malt in the middle!! Mmmmm! I love getting the surprise malted balls with no malt in the middle! No Whooper break is complete on its own! I also have to have a huge glass of ice cold milk to chase down the delicious goodness!

  24. Ashley Whitaker says:

Four words: Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs! The cups are a good substitute, but the Eggs that they come out with every Spring have the perfect ratio of chocolate to peanut butter! It is seriously the best. In fact, any of their special shapes that they release during the holidays are always the best!

  25. Nikki Allen says:

My favorite candy bar would have to be snickers. My last child was literally grown on snickers, dr pepper, and deep fried burritos. Kinda random but amazing. 🙂

  26. Emily says:

    Peanut Butter M&M’s . . . Yum!

  27. Rebekah Hendricksen says:

When I was in Middle School I use to get the two pack of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups at lunch from the vending machine. I would poke the middle out of both of them. I would eat the inside first and save the yummy chocolate circle for last. It was a ritual that my friends would watch me do at least two to three times a week.

  28. Jennifer H says:

Ahhhh favorite candy… where to even begin with that one! I used to be a one candy bar gal… it all started with a Milky Way – my Mom’s favorite and I wouldn’t eat anything else on the rare chance I got to go get a candy bar… until one day there weren’t any and I tried my Dad’s favorite – Snickers and I was a goner and left my Milky Way behind for a while. Then one day I discovered the 3 Musketeers all on my own and it won me over for quite a long time. There were non-chocolate treats in there, like Nerds and SweetTarts and Shock Tarts… So now it all comes down to chocolate or not. If I want chocolate now it is usually an Almond Hershey bar OR those yummy mini Reeses Peanut butter cups – I love making a homemade blizzard out of them with vanilla icecream – YUM! … I’m making myself crave some so I guess I better stop! ;^)

  29. Jessie Clark says:

I’m a very strange woman and don’t really like chocolate. I love the fruity candy: shocktarts, sweedish fish, twizzlers, red vines. My weird candy methodology is that I can’t mix colors. Even on the rare bag of m&ms I eat my colors segregated one or two at a time (even if they will taste just the same).

  30. Melanie S says:

All for one and one for all! 😉 I love peanut m&m’s! I bought an xxl bag and greedily stashed it away from my husband. He doesn’t like nuts and I’ve caught him eating my peanut m&ms before, but spitting out the nuts! That is a tragedy!! So I buy him a small bag of regular m&ms and keep the xxl nut bag for me!

  31. Kaycee Tomboc says:

I have two and can’t decide! I love the little Lindor truffles! Pop ’em in and let em melt. They are so good. And then there are York bars. I have only heard of these candy bars being in the UK but it is the best chocolate I’ve ever had. It actually has a picture on iit deeming it not for girls. I love it!

  32. Allyson E. says:

I love ALL candy bars! My 2 favorites are 100 Grand and Milky Way. When I eat 3 Muskateers I eat all the chocolate off it first and then eat the middle. But I do also love them frozen!

  33. bn100 says:

    like chocolate bars

  34. Brynette McKinney says:

I can’t say that I have any special rituals with my candy, but I really enjoy them anyway. My favorites are 3 Musketeers and Mini Reese’s Cups and your post just made me want some so badly! Go figure there’s not a crumb of chocolate in the house. Sigh….

  35. eli yanti says:

i love kit kat and m&m chocolate 🙂

  36. cynthia fay rigby says:

my favorite candy is whatyiourmucallit and 3 musketeers. I love your books and hope to see book two in the Little girls in blure soon. thank you for all you do.

  37. Denise Moody says:

So, I don’ t normally eat very much candy, but I was intrigued by the 3 musketeers story. If and when I do eat candy, which again is very rare, I have a couple favorites… Sour Patch anything (watermelons are great!) and skittles. I love the sweet and sour of the skittles.

However, my favorite “Candy” treat, which is actually chocolate… yesssssss Chocolate… I only like dark chocolate… and only the good kind…. Godiva, Ghirardelli, and Lindt, to be exact… So, I recently found a new favorite. I can’t buy it regularly because I can’t NOT eat it!! I know.. horrible! It is the new Blackberry current Almond dark. I think it is either 72% or 60% dark. I usually go for the darker the better. Anyway, I LOVE LOVE LOVE It! Just enough crunchy with the sweet and just enough sour… yum! I like to take a bite and crunch it up or suck on it to get the sweet and sour….. problem is, I can’t eat just one square like the other ones, I have to have four! eek! Which is why I can’t buy it because I eat it too fast! i have to pace myself… sad but true…
    Denise 🙂

  38. Morgan Jenkins says:

My all time favorite candy is gobstoppers. They are just so nice to suck on and they last quite a while unless you are like me and eat them as fast as you can because they are so amazing!!! When I was younger (okay…it really was only a few years ago…), I would try and fit as many in my mouth as I could and the box would be gone within about five minutes. Crazy huh? Well, now I have learned how to savor and not rush in eating the gobstoppers, but saving them so I can have them throughout the day or even some days later I can still have some. 🙂

  39. Emily Pack says:

My dad’s cousin came into town when I was probably fifteen and taught me the “best”way to eat a bag of peanut m&ms. He swore he could make one bag last an entire road trip. I thought this was revolutionary, a way to make my candy last longer! He then described how he would pop one in his mouth, lick all the color off, crack the shell with his back teeth, and then peel off pieces of the shell with his front teeth. Once the shell was gone, he would put the rest of the m&m in the back of his mouth until the chocolate melted off without any help from his tongue. Then finally only the peanut was left. He would pull the peanut up to the front of his mouth between his tongue and his teeth and then shave off tiny slivers of peanut. One peanut m&m took him over twenty minutes to finish! I was fascinated. I never knew there was a science to eating m&ms! So a couple of weeks later I got a bag of peanut m&ms and tried my skill at making them last hours. Now I really concentrated and worked hard, but five minutes later the bag was empty and I realized something. I didn’t need to learn how to make one bag of peanut m&ms last an entire road trip, I just needed more bags of m&ms!!

  40. Allison Lewis says:

They are only available at Easter time but the coconut creme Hershey kisses are the BEST!

  41. Jodi Rollins says:

I eat whoppers just like that! I also eat the chocolate from all sides of a kit kat & peel the layers apart & eat them one at a time.

  42. Niki says:

I love Raisinets! They are just so yummy! You get chocolate bites with the raisins-so chewy and satisfying! Also, I love peanute M&M’s too!

  43. Teena Barnes says:

I love anything chocolate and peanuts or peanut butter. While traveling, I love peanut butter M&M’s. I put one at a time in my mouth letting the outside coating soak off. By then, the chocolate is melty and the peanut butter is soft and it just kind of squishes down and flows all over my tongue. I eat the peanut M&M’s that way too. Anything that I can melt the chocolate and eat the peanut will do.

  44. Marlene Howard says:

Three Musketeers is my favorite candy bar I like Reeses to when I was younger I used to take a bite a day till it was gone. I’m not really sure why I did this that was in my much smaller size days. Now when I need to do that I want the whole thing lol.

  45. sherry butcher says:

    I LOVE any thing Chocolate!

  46. That is the best way to eat a 3 musketeers! I don’t always eat them that way but do when I have the time and am not starving 😉
I eat Whoppers similar. Bite in half – let the malt disolve before swallowing.
Milky Way Midnights are high on my list now.

  47. Siopao says:

By far my number 1 is Reese’s PB cups….still are too. As a kid, I did love butireftngers and probably snickers. Now, I’d swap those two out for Heath and Almond Joys!

  48. Lori Nelson says:

I love Kit Kat bars and have to eat the chocolate away from the edge of each wafer and then eat the wafer. Mmmmm don’t know why, it’s just what I do. ?
