My favorite thing about ‘Take A Walk With Me’ is that it’s one of two books of yours that I have not read yet! I love your books and love new ones more! Happy Autumn! Can’t wait to make your cookies!
I love how excited it got me for the holidays!!! I love fall and christmas!!! I think I might read it again in the next few weeks to get me all ready for fall. I’ve been trying to hold off on putting up my fall decorations!! I don’t know how much longer I can last!!!!
I’m excited for fall! I love the leave changes. And maybe I will have to get a copy of The Time of Aspen Falls. It’s such a good book for fall.
Yay for Raspberry Almonds! Such a fun contest.
Great giveaway! I have 2 favorite things from “Take a walk with me”!. First, I love imagining all the cute little walnut shell ornaments. And second, I love it when Jesse growls 🙂
Hmmm my favorite part of Take a Walk With me…. that’s as bad as asking for my favorite song. I love the whole book, but I guess if I had to come up with my favorite thing about it I guess I would have to say the relationship between Cozy and her Grandma.
Oooooh- this morning has been really really rough, but now I think I’ll just make a batch of those pumpkin cookies and sit down with a plate of them and re-read ‘Take a Walk With Me’. Yes, yes- I shall. Sounds divine. That’s sure to cure any bad day. Oh, and my favorite part of “Take A Walk With Me” is how Mr.Bryant downs Dottie’s cider again and again, just because he loves her. LOVE IT! Reminds me of my own love story. Ahhhhh. Love cures all.
I just read this book for the first time earlier this summer. So many things I loved!! I’ll have to go with the part when Jesse’s grandpa gives him some money to go get a treat. Jesse and Cozy think it’s so their grandparents can have some alone time, but their grandparents think it’s to give Jesse and Cozy some time alone–maybe for a kiss. Soooo cute!! A double romance!!
I really loved the relationships that Cozy and Jesse have with their grandparents. Mine passed away when I was young and I siwh I could of had more time with them. I just love how close they are and how much they love eachother!
My favorite thing about Take a Walk with Me is the Christmas theme woven throughout it. It’s perfect to read when you want that Christmas feel. My favorite scene is when they are below the windowsill spying on their grandparents. It’s all so wonderful!
One of my favorite parts of Take a Walk With Me is the relationship that develops between Buck and Dottie which is so darn sweet and romantic. It shows that it is never too late for love to develop and make two people insanely happy. Love just gets sweeter over the years, but it knows no age limitations. The time of year that the romance blooms is also my favorite time of year, which just makes the story even more adorable!
What I Love about Take A Walk With Me is the song ‘sippin cider through a straw’ and ‘little red ridinghood’. My sister and I always sang sippin cider song it was our favorite song and when I read the book and that song was in it I called her right away and told she had to read this book. Then the little red ridinghood is me and my other sisters favorite song. I luaghed so hard when that song came up in the book. Love it Love it and it is such a wonderful book with two romances makes me sigh everytime I read it.
My favorite thing about “Take a walk with me” is not only is it a christmas book but I love the double romance going on. I love Cozy and Jesse relationship but I also love their grandparents relationship. You are never to old to love again:) I think that is such a cute tradition with baking the pumpkin cookies on the first day of school. I love how you love fall with halloween, thanksgiving and christmas and I know you write a lot of your books around those months, but I think it would be fun to have other holidays meantion in your books like Valentines, April fools, 4th of July, St. Patricks Day etc. Just an idea:)
Hey lady, I just tried making the cookies, but you never actually specified when to put in the most important ingredient – the PUMPKIN! Hahahaha, and I didn’t see the temprature to cook it at, or for how long. Just wing it, huh? Thanks for sharing it though, pumpkin choco-chip cookies are a favorite of my family’s. 🙂
Jk I found it 🙂 I was reading the half portion recipe!
Hmmm… I love the scene where Jesse is putting the lights on the house and the kid needs help down the street… and when Jesse and Cozy are spying on their grandparents… and… haha there are some great moments… I won’t spoil for anyone who hasn’t read it;^)
I am going to have to try these pumpkin cookies! I love pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread… so I’m probably going to love these too! Thanks for the recipe ;^)
I loved how Jesse admitted out loud, in a public place that he wanted to grab Cozy’s rear end every time he saw her. That was priceless!!!
K, I have lots of favorites! One of course is the dedication page, 😉 and the next one has to be Jesse’s growling and whistling “little red riding hood”! Love a wolfish man!! If I remember right, you had one scratching at your hotel room door one time right?? Lol!! Love ya!
my favorite (and I quote): “and now may I present the entertainment for this evening…Mr. Buckly hunk of burning love Bryant and company.”
I smile just thinking about the binocular scene. so great! of course the “making out” vs. kissing scene is a good one, too. sigh. it’s all good!
It’s funny that you put up this contest! lol I’m in the middle of reading this book – – again – – right now! Something about the changing of the seasons and this book go so well together….and almonds of ANY kind are my favorite! So I’d LOVE to win a bag of these! Thank you! Debbie Budge
I loved the—WHOLE STORY!!! LOL!! I loved that Dottie had a romance going right along with Cozy!! I loved the binoculars—that made me really love Dottie–I would have loved being her friend!! She sounds like a fun person–thank you for making an older woman still adventurous and fun and still desirable!!!!
P.S. I LOVED-LOVED–the–“Little Red Riding Hood” song–the song I imagined was from my youth and it was also your inspiration!! Loved that that song gets stuck in my mind!!!!!
I really love the fact you show love is not just for the young. I love the relationship she has with her grandmother! The simply courting manners is fun too. You don’t have to spend big $ to acheive a great time. Walks have always been and always will be my favorite “date” with my husband.
I have to say that one of my favorite parts in “Take a Walk With Me” is when Jesse proves that tasting his raspberry almonds really will change Cozy’s life. I have many other favorite parts as well, but you asked for only one…lol : )
Oh my land the cookies sound sooo yummy! As soon as I get printer ink I am printing that out so I can make them sometime. That’s one of my fave autumn cookies. 🙂
I have not read ‘Take A Walk With Me’ but from everyone’s comments I really want to read it now!
I love Christmas themed stories and the feel that it gives one inside. It warms the spirit somehow in a most special way. 🙂
Thank you for all the recipes!
Have a wonderful & safe Labor Day weekend! 😀
I just re-read Take A Walk With Me, this week! My favorite thing about this book is that Jesse winks at Cozy all the time. When my husband and I were dating, he did the same thing! I love Christmas books, and this one is great! Thanks Marcia for your clean romances, I love every one of them!
I cannot believe we are into September already! I was thinking about you a couple of days ago, Marcia, and want to wish you a wonderful season. <3,
My favorite part would probably be… wow, hard to choose. But I love how Jesse’s always whistling and growling. Very sexy. The make-out vs. kissing is also a favorite. I love how he champions her at the dinner. I’m all for a man coming to the rescue for a woman – I don’t care what day and age it is. A woman should always appreciate a gentleman, especially because there’s so few of them left!
I LOVE this whole book as well!!!! I really enjoyed the walk Jesse and Cozy take asking each other questions and just getting to know one another … so simple and fun with the changing leaves , etc..
My favorite part in take a walk with me is probably when Jesse tells cozy that grandma is not making out and then he shows her what making out is in the snow. Love it great book.
Raspberry almonds sound absolutely divine! You come up with the best stuff!
Oh i love everything about this book!! I love how jesse says his raspberry almonds will change cozys life and of course when jesse teaches cozy about making out!!!! LOVED IT!!! You are amazing and write the best kissing scenes!!
I love Cozy’s walnut ornaments…and how she has a hard time charging people for them. Wish I had some for my tree! =) The grandparents are adorable, too!
