Yummy Cracker Barrel!! You always come up with such fun things…..
My wonderful thing is that I really appreciate the fact that men fix things!! My husband is the ultimate fixer upper…he’s amazing, he can do anything! This weekend I needed my genealogy moved from a very old computer to the lap top so there went my honey, figured it out and just did it!!! He’s my hero, he’s wonderful!

I had just about given up on love with the thought that nothing could be as good as one of your book, but then i went bowling… haha I know super random but I met an old friend there and we’ve really hit it off. We’re just starting so i don’t want to get ahead of myself, but love is real and is all around. Even though it’s hard you can’t just wait for the perfect man to sweep you off your feet, you’ve got to put yourself out there and find him.
thanks marcia for you deliciousness, and the reminder that anyone can find love!!!!!

  8. Tara C says:

I love Cracker Barrel too! I can’t resist having breakfast for dinner. By the way, you are my favorite author! No one does clean romance like you! Keep the books coming!! I tell all my friends and family about you and now their hooked too! Thanks for all of your hard work!!!!!!

  9. Stacey says:

What I think is wonderful is all this fall beauty. I am soaking it up and cherishing it before all that evil white stuff covers it up! I hate to admit this, but I have never been to Cracker Barrel! Weird huh? Sounds like my kinda place though! Love you!

  10. Kellie Percival says:

Ooohhh!!! Two of my sisters and I absolutely love your books!! Whenever we go to a library or bookshop we always look for new books from you!! Your books make us feel so happy and warm inside!!! Please keep writing forever!!

Cracker Barrel is a stop we frequently stop when we travel. Always sure of a good meal which is a comfort when you have had a long day on the road. And like you, I LOVE the gift shop. They always have so many things I would love to take home or give as gifts. We’ll have to go to our local Cracker Barrel again sometime soon. Then again, we are ready to go on a trip, so we will probably be stopping then.

  12. Vella Rose Smith says:

    Hi,

I love Cracker Barrel. It brings back memories of the old country store that I shopped in as a little girl. The wonder of it all, but now it is glorified and stocked with all the latest trinkets. The food is delicious and I especially like the fish and the corn bread.

Also, thanks for your delicious books! I have just about all of them and here I am a widowed grandmother of 43 and greatgrandmother of 16. I still love to read your awesome romantic novels. “it is all about the kissing” great quote from you.

Thanks for making my life moe enjoyable.

  13. Kirsten says:

Of course I have to leave a reply since I’ve thought Bruce Willis is one of the sexiest men alive since I was like, 10! Thanks for the reminder that we need to slow down every once in a while! I needed that!

  14. Seante Nielson says:

Oh Marcia, I remember the first time my mom started to talk about you 🙂 and then ha ha I fell in the love too! You’re books are the best and you’re the sweetest little thing! Love, Seante’

  18. Em says:

    I love your books!!!

  19. Sarah Shirley says:

Oh my do I know what you mean! I went to class at 7:30am and didn’t get home until 12am! My husband is so tired of me not being around him that he came to the library and did homework on the computer next to me (mind you we didn’t say more than 10 words to each other the 4 hours we were there) just so we could be by each other. Ugh.

  20. Vennesa says:

I have never been the Cracker Barrel even though I’ve probably driven past it a hundred times. Sounds like I at least need to stop by the gift shop! Thanks for the chance at winning.

  21. Terry Price says:

    Something wonderful…
    Family,
    Cracker Barrel and
    Marcia Lynn McClure’s romances!
Marcia, I’ll never be able to go to Cracker Barrel again without thinking of you…
    slowing down,
    and Bruce Willis. 😉

  22. Jean Ledyard says:

I love Cracker Barrel and would love a night out with my family. We don’t get a night out very often.

Your randomness cracks me up! I’m directing 183 kids in our school production of Peter Pan next month. Crazy busy doesn’t even cut it!! (not enough Tylenol in the world) Glad you found time to blog and I found time to read it:) I think I’ll clean my bathrooms today in case a hunky movie star stops by:)

  25. Nikita says:

Hot buttermilk panncakes (my kids call ’em that). Hot syrup. A plump melting mound of whipped buttah. A side of cool whipped cream. Maybe some warmed blueberry compote (???) AND cute maple syrup in cute little bottles. I’m drooling over my keyboard. Thanks for the meal in my mind! I think I need a break on one of the rockers on the front porch now. Checkers???

  26. Anna says:

I would love to win a gift card to Cracker Barrel as it is my husbands favorite restaurant. He loves it when I surprise him and take him out to dinner. Each year for Christmas he always goes crazy trying to give me the world that it’s hard for me to find special things to do for him too. So that’s why I’d like to win.

    Thanks so much!

  27. Mary says:

I love going to Cracker Barrel. I’ve recently “found” your books and I’m enjoying them so much. Thank you!

  29. Meridyth says:

My something wonderful is: that my husband is putting away clean dishes from the dishwasher right as I type this! And of course that i have healthy children and a loving husband, but also, that I can still seek council from my parents.

  30. Tami Cengiz says:

My two year old ran up to me hugged my leg and said I sure love you mama. Melt my heart!!!

  31. Megan A says:

I love the gift shop at Cracker Barrel too!!!! My wonderful random comment will be to mention that my favorite memory of the Cracker Barrel was when my family was eating there and we ran into a friend, my dad secretly paid for his meal and then hurried everyone out so this guy wouldn’t catch us. My brother was getting gifts wrapped so we couldn’t go out the door, I had to play lookout while these two girls chatted and SLOWLY wrapped Christmas presents.

  32. C.E. Hart says:

My life has been hectic, I think Cracker Barrel is awesome, and I love randomness–we are KINDRED SPIRITS! lol

I love the Christmas ornaments CB displays each year. After pigging out on their yummy pancakes and hashbrown casserole, I spend an eternity trying to figure out which ones I’m going to buy. They are unique and well made – and make my tree look spectacular! Last year’s gingerbread men and women need some new playmates. Keeping my fingers crossed for the gift card.

Thank you for the fun post and awesome giveaway, Marcia. 🙂
(And here’s to dreams coming true!) heh heh

  33. Louie says:

UHM by the by, Bruce Willis’ arms in fifth element?! mmmmmm! yes please! I love that movie. mmm. ya. bruce. 🙂

  34. Bryn says:

My husband just took one of those stress evaluation tests for our family. Up to 150 is some stress, 150-300 is chronic stress, and over 300 means you could be suffering from advanced chronic stress and should probably seek help. We scored 898!

My something wonderful is that, despite that, we have three beautiful daughters, another baby on the way, and we are as much (if not more!) in love with each other as ever.

  35. Lindsay D says:

I love cracker barrel!!!!! And your books!!!!

  39. Susan M says:

Great idea, and welcome back! Anxious to read more of your books! Haven’t yet had the pleasure of reviewing your books on my blog – I’ll have to remedy that soon!

Love Cracker Barrel (but will have to hide the giftcard from my kiddos, they love it too!)

  40. Bronwyn says:

I love the Cracker Barrel! It makes me feel like I am back in the eighteen hundreds when I go there. My something random for the day Marcia: so we are having this carport sale today, you know, trying to relieve ourselves of some of the little things we love to keep, and I decided since it was so cold that we had to have hot chocolate, frosted sugar cookies, and Dean Martin Christmas music! It totally changed the atmosphere of the entire sale! I know it may sound completely silly, but even the man came up to us and said that anyone who was playing Dean Martin at their sale was worth going to. You know, things like that make you smile. It just showed me that the little things in the holiday season mean most, like Dean Martin and sugar cookies. But it is even better if you have homemade apple cider! Yum! So divine and heavenly!

  41. Brandy Hansen says:

My something wonderful for today is the fact that my hubby cleans the toilets for me! 🙂 I think it has been at least 6 years since I have cleaned one! 🙂

  47. This is a special place because I always go there with friends and it is a two hour drive so not something that happens often making even more special.

  48. Paige says:

I love the crackling fire and the giant checker boards at Cracker Barrel! I have always wanted to go with someone tall, dark and handsome and sit in the rocking chairs together, enjoy the fire and have an awesome home cooked meal. Just like a scene straight out of you books 😉

  49. Jamie says:

I loooove the Cracker Barrel gift shop! I got the cutest sock monkey jack-in-the-box there a few years ago. My hubby loves their candy “sticks”. So fun!!

  50. Melanie says:

So, after reading The Haunting of Autumn Lake, I went outside and low and behold there were acorn hats all over my ground. I picked up a few for good measure! Love it!
